Please extend them a congratulations.  CWO4 Kohut & HTCS(SW) Delpriore received their awards on July 13th at the Symposium from VADM Nobert Ryan, USN (Ret.), President of the Military Officers Association of America, which sponsored our awards this year.  CDR Mahn and LT Dougherty are on deployment and they will be receiving their awards at their commands.

Junior Officer Category:   1stLT Adrien C. Thom, USMC, Platoon Commander, Bridge Company Bravo, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, based at Camp Lejeune, NC

Due to the strength of the packages and to provide further recognition for those who excel, the Awards Board decided to create a new category for Junior Officers.  Thus, 1stLT Thom is the first JO category winner.

The 2001 Officer Award went to LT Dianna Wolfson, USN, (left side) who has transferred from USS GEORGE WASHINGTON and is now at MIT.  The 2001 Enlisted Award went to CTTC Brenda J. Williams, USN, (right side) who is assigned to the Naval Security Group Activity, Kunia in Hawaii.   Presenting the awards are BGEN Evelyn Foote , USA (Ret.) and Mrs. Carolyn H. Becraft (Former Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs).  Congratulations to both women and all the other nominees.  Bravo Zulu!

JBH Awards at the 2000 Symposium

Starting with last year's Symposium, WOPA is now giving two Awards, one for an officer and one for senior enlisted.  This way, the special efforts of members from both groups can be recognized.   Below are brief biographies of last year's winners (LT Erin Osborne and ACCS (SW/AW) JoAnn M. Ortloff).  In addition, there is a listing of last year's nominees.  Congratulations to all!
